MTV Generation
- Your age group has been referred to as the "MTV Generation," which carries a negative connotation of teen-agers that have little to no interest in anything, and even if you did, your attention span is grossly limited. Is this true? No i do not think it is true. I believe that every individual is different and though yes this generation has been exposed to more technology and activities that basically require no ability or skill it is harder to get younger teenagers moving. Nonetheless there are still those who do try hard and give there all to school, sports, Uil, a job, and their family. I think it is unfair and unjust to brand name all teenagers of this generation in this manner.
- Where do you get your news? I get my news from My parents or when i sit with them and watch CNN or the Local News Channels.
- If a news article is accompanied by a photograph, do you read the article or rely totally on the visual? If the Title and the picture look interesting and catch my attention i will read the article but if it does not I would look at the picture.
- Is it impossible for a "complicated message to be relayed in a 10-second sound bite" that the news media uses to get the message across? Is this possible? What are the advantages of using photographs? What are the disadvantages? The advantages to using photographs is that it requires a quick attention grabber for certain individuals and others do not have to provide any effort at all they turn there head in the direction of the photograph vs. reading paragraphs. The bad this to this though is that there could be misinterpretations of the picture.
